Being a Scout

We’re Do-ers

And Give-it-a-go-ers

There’s a place for everyone here. No matter who you are, where you come from, whatever your ability and whatever you look like.  We do it all at Scouts. From helping our community to learning how to get back up and try again.

We also know a thing or two about adventures. For us, it doesn’t have to be big, or loud. Real adventures start small and think big. Slowly but surely, step by step.

It happens every week when ordinary people get together in our Scout Hall to make something extrodinary happen….

“That’s the thing with Scouts: They don’t force me to do things, but they encourage me to try. And if I manage it, it makes me feel really good.”

Bella, 19th Wimbledon Scouts

“Eventually you realise you’re doing it without thinking, and the confidence you had to fake before becomes real.”
Lucy, Tsunami Explorer Scouts

Find out how you can become a Scout

Our group is divided by age into ‘Sections’. Each Section has it’s own unique programme tailored to the age range they cover. As you get older you move through the Sections, building on the skills you’ve already learned to have bigger adventures.

You don’t have to start at the begining. You can join us at any age.

Ages 6-8

Try new things. Make new friends. Joining Beavers is just the beginning of your big adventure.

Ages 8-10.5

Develop new skills. Soar to great heights. Being a Cub opens up a whole other world.

Ages 10.5-14

Jump in and get muddy. Give back and get set. Scouts ignore the butterflies and go for it, and soon so will you.

Ages 14-18

Try more. See more. Do more. At Explorers, you’ll stand on your own two feet, and make memories to last a lifetime.

Ages 18-25

Try more. See more. Do more. At Scout Network, you’ll stand on your own two feet, and make memories to last a lifetime.
